ICTP Participation in the Second Meeting of Academic Persian Teaching Centers

On Monday, August 5, 2018, acadmic Persian language teaching centers convened at Dehkhoda Institute. During this meeting, the issues and deficiencies concerning the field of Persian language teaching and SAMFA (Persian language standard skills test) were discussed. This meeting, attended by members of the ministry of Science, Research and Technology, began with statements of report given by the directors of Persian language teaching centers regarding their activities across the field. Dr. Karimi provided a report on the entirety of the Alzahra ICTP activities which covered four matters of infrastructural resources, educational, as well as research and international activities. Among the infrastructural resources of this center, are the special library of Persian language education, trilingual website, and brochures in eight languages. Among the educational activities, campus class and online courses of General Persian as well as professional courses of journalism and letter writing can be pointed out. Regarding research aspect, developing a text book on four skills of Persian language is among the activities of this center. As her last comment, Dr. Karimi suggested that the research conducted by Persian instruction centers be in line with the latest topics of applied linguistics and suitable to actual needs of Persian language students.
